Looking for a Christmas gift for a film photographer? Get them the bit that comes after the shutter: developing and scans. Just Shoot Film gift cards start at £25, arrive by email or text with your own message, and can be scheduled to land on Christmas morning.

Buying for someone who shoots film is harder than it looks. They've probably already got the camera they love, and their fridge may well be full of film. What every film photographer needs, every single roll, is somewhere to get it developed.

What a Gift Card Covers

Developing and scanning a roll of 35mm with us costs £11.99 with JPEG scans. So, roughly:

  • £25 covers two rolls of 35mm, developed and scanned
  • £50 covers four rolls
  • £75 covers six rolls
  • £100 covers eight rolls, or a serious batch of holiday film

You can also pick any amount you like. It works on everything we do: colour, black and white, 120, prints, slide scans and rescans.

How It Works

Our gift cards are digital. You choose the amount, add a personal message, and send it straight to them by email or text.

The handy part at Christmas: you can schedule it for a date. Buy it now, set it for the 25th, and forget about it. No posting, no wrapping, no last-minute dash.

[David: can people also buy or use gift cards in the shop? If yes, add a line here.]

Who It's Good For

  • The friend who got a film camera last Christmas and still hasn't developed the first roll
  • The one with a drawer full of shot rolls they keep meaning to send off
  • Anyone who's just started shooting film and is wincing at the costs
  • Your parents, who found a box of old film in the loft

It's also a nice nudge. A gift card says go on, shoot that roll, it's paid for.

Pair It With a Roll

If you want something to actually unwrap, put a roll of film in their stocking and the gift card in their inbox. Film to shoot on Christmas Day, developing already sorted.

[David: add any Christmas posting or opening hours dates here.]
